    Tanzanite was born 550 years ago

    Five hundred and fifty years ago, in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mother Nature yielded her most precious of all gems. As testimony to its rarity, Tanzanite remained unknown until 1967 when it was discovered in Tanzania, at what is the still the world’s only known source.

    All of our tanzanite is sourced directly from the mine and is cut and polished in-house with the latest cutting-edge technology and highly skilled craftsmen. During the cutting and polishing process the specialised craftsmen will examine the gemstone in order to determine the best cut and shape for the specific tanzanite.

    Each Tanzanite International creation is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity indicating the unique characteristics of the tanzanite you’ve chosen. You will also receive an Ethical Compliance Certificate to state that the gemstone was sourced ethically from the mines.

  • CARING FOR TANZANITE
    Cleaning and looking after Tanzanite can make it last for generations

    Clean tanzanite with a soft brush in a solution of soapy water (e.g. dish-wash liquid) over a bowl and rinse well with a soft dry brush. Avoid harsh chemicals and ensure that the drain is closed / plugged.
